REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY RESOURCES
In the coalition that drives Irving's economic development community, few relationships are as important as the partnership between the Irving Chamber's Economic Development Team and the Dallas/Fort Worth real estate community.
The Chamber's Economic Development Team nurtures a strong working relationship with local brokers, both commercial and residential, creating a cooperative alliance that benefits companies that are relocating or expanding in Irving. Together, this partnership:
- Shares "street level" market intelligence, to keep the Chamber Economic Development Team and brokers up-to-date on available properties and space coming to the market.
- Targets office and industrial buildings and developable sites that best meet a prospect's needs.
- Tours neighborhoods and homes with prospective executives and employees.
- Maintains strict confidentiality throughout the relocation or expansion process.
Partnerships and Programs
The Irving Chamber's Economic Development Team sponsors programs to keep commercial real estate brokers up-to-date on developments in Irving. They include:
- The Annual Las Colinas Office Market Bus Tour. Held each year during the HP Byron Nelson Golf Championship, when all eyes are on Irving, this tour showcases Irving office properties and new developments in the community. The morning-long outing is co-sponsored with the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, or NTCAR, and attended by more than 100 brokers and developers.
- Breakfast meetings on current topics. The Chamber and NTCAR host regular breakfast meetings on topics such as area transportation initiatives and development trends in Las Colinas.
Broker Resources
The Chamber's Economic Development Team serves as a resource to local brokers, assisting with issues such as:
- Permitting and zoning
- Signage standards
- Tax abatements and incentives
- Market intelligence, both from the Chamber's database and from its working knowledge of the Irving-Las Colinas market.
