Foreign Direct Investment

The program works to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to Irving-Las Colinas, and also support FDI from the City to international markets. One of the principal ways of promoting FDI is by recruiting international companies to establish operations in Irving-Las Colinas. The expansion of any of Irving-Las Colinas’ more than 150 existing foreign firms already operating here offers another avenue for promotion.

Third, the EB-5 Investor Visa program provides another way for Irving-Las Colinas to bring FDI to the City. This federal government program provides a low-cost finance option that can be used to complement the funding and development of corporate as well as private and public infrastructure projects in a specified community. The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce pursues partnerships with already established official EB-5 Centers in North Texas, where projects and potential investors can be matched for the benefit of Irving-Las Colinas and the communities where the projects are implemented.

The FDI program also strives to support Irving-Las Colinas companies that wish to establish or expand their international investments around the globe.
