John M. Bonnot serves as Vice President of Economic Development for the Chamber's Economic Development Department.
The Chamber serves the City of Irving, as its official representative and point of contact in all Economic Development roles and activities. John's primary areas of responsibility are to coordinate the daily operations of the Economic Development department; maintain and nurture strong working relationships with the real estate and development community; be the response mechanism for the City regarding all development inquiries; and prepare various reports for presentation to the City's staff, mayor and council, as defined in the Economic Development agreement with the City of Irving.
John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southwest Texas State University; has completed four years of Institute for Organizational Management, and is also a graduate of the Economic Development Institute.
John's wife, Penny, is an art teacher in the Coppell ISD. They have two sons, the oldest is Derric (21) and Kevin (14).
