Fast casual Asian restaurant chain Pei Wei Asian Diner has leased office space in Las Colinas for its new headquarters.
The company, which is moving its head office from Scottsdale, Ariz. to Irving, has rented 16,269 square feet in the Las Colinas Highlands tower at 6191 N. State Highway 161.
“Pei Wei is making a tremendous investment in their company and North Texas,” Paul Whitman, international director with commercial real estate firm JLL, said in a statement. “Not only is Dallas-Fort Worth one of the fastest growing and economically sound regions in the country, but we’re also home to Pei Wei’s largest concentration of store fronts.
“Our state’s business-friendly environment, accessible resources and deep labor pool align with their long-term plans for future success. We’re thrilled to play a role in bringing the company’s headquarters to Texas.”
The City of Irving has agreed to provide up to $75,000 in economic incentives for the 100-person office.
JLL’s Whitman and Harrison Burt negotiated the office lease with Kristi Waddell, Addie Ludwig and Jeremy Duggins of Cawley Management, LLC.
Las Colinas has been one of the Dallas-area’s hottest office markets so far in 2017. Through the first nine months of the year, net office leasing in the Las Colinas area has totaled almost 750,000 square feet – second only the West Plano/Frisco market for total office deals.
