The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber supported the small businesses of Irving by being a Neighborhood Champion for Small Business Saturday, a program founded by American Express.

The Chamber had a Welcome Center in the 100 block of Main Street where they gave away shopping totes and encouraged residents and visitors to “Shop Small” at many of the retail stores in Heritage Crossing. The Chamber distributed flyers with participating businesses, and if someone shopped in at least three of those stores, they were entered into a drawing for a $25.00 gift certificate. Businesses within Heritage Crossing were pleased with the results seeing an increase in foot traffic and sales above a normal Saturday. Shoppers are encouraged to continue to support small businesses within Heritage Crossing, and throughout Irving during the Holiday season.
