A North Texas operator of freestanding emergency rooms has moved its corporate office from Lewisville to Las Colinas.
In a tweet Tuesday Adeptus Health said that it is now located on 220 East Las Colinas Boulevard in Irving.
The Dallas Morning News has learned that its new space in the Mandalay Tower office building is two full floors and totals about 44,600 square feet.
That’s significantly smaller than the the 80,000 square foot office space it leased in the Vista Ridge Business Park in Lewisville.
The company could not immediately be reached for comment about the number of staff impacted by the move. It is unclear whether it plans staff reductions or will have office space elsewhere.
Adeptus Health, founded in 2002, runs a chain of freestanding emergency rooms that operate under the name First Choice.
The company filed for bankruptcy last year after a string of financial losses and declining patient volumes.
In October, a Texas judge accepted its restructure plan to be purchased by a hedge fund. The restructure made the company private again, just two years after its initial public offering.
The reorganized entity included 99 freestanding emergency rooms in seven markets.
First Choice emergency room locations in Texas can currently be found in the Houston, San Antonio and Austin markets. Its Dallas-area facilities became a part of Texas Health Resources about two years ago.
