FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT
The program works to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to Irving, as well as to support FDI from Irving to international markets. One of the principal ways of promoting FDI is by recruiting international companies to establish operations in Irving. Another way is through the expansion of any of Irving’s existing foreign firms already operating here, which number more than 150, and with which the Chamber is in contact with and supports.
Another option available for Irving to bring in FDI is through the EB-5 Investor Visa program. This federal government program provides a low-cost finance option that can be used to complement the funding and development of corporate as well as private and public infrastructure projects in a specified community. The Chamber pursues partnerships with already established official EB-5 Centers in North Texas, where projects and potential investors can be matched up, for the benefit of Irving and the communities where the projects are implemented.
The Chamber program also strives to support Irving companies who wish to establish or expand their international investments around the globe.
