The suburb known for its culturally diverse dining landscape grabbed the No. 14 spot for best U.S. cities for vegetarians and vegans in a report from the personal finance website WalletHub.
Irving beat back major urban centers like Chicago, New York City and Washington, D.C. Other North Texas cities that ranked highly include Plano at No. 23, Dallas at No. 33 and Garland at No. 55.
WalletHub released the rankings in honor of World Vegetarian Day on Thursday and as synthetic meat products, like the Impossible Burger and Beyond Burger, are growing in popularity.
