Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) awarded Archer Western Construction a contract to build the Hidden Ridge Station at Carpenter Ranch along the Orange Line. Construction for the Station is underway in Irving between existing North Lake College and Irving Convention Center stations on the Orange Line DART agreed to the name change of the Hidden Ridge Station at Carpenter Ranch to tie-in with the city's $1 billion project nearby. The Hidden Ridge project, a 110-acre mixed use development for Verizon Communications Inc. includes retail and restaurants, apartments, a hotel and additional office space.

The Station will have 136 parking spots on the southwest side, six bus bays and five kiss-and-ride spaces. Upon completion in 2021, DART will have 65 stations along its light rail corridor, the longest light rail system in North America.
