In a joint effort to honor the healthcare heroes in our community, the City of Irving, Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, Irving Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Las Colinas Association hosted events at the community’s two hospitals on Friday, May 14, 2021. The celebration began at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving, and continued with a second celebration at Medical City Las Colinas.

Irving is marked its second year of celebrating National Nurses & Hospital Week by:

  • Distributed 1500 thank you bags to medical professionals including donated items from the City of Irving, Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, Irving Convention & Visitors Bureau, Las Colinas Association, Ashoc Energy, Kroger, Nothing Bundt Cakes, NYLO Las Colinas Hotel, Omnicom Shared Service Center-Dallas and Reliant Energy.
  • Irving Police and Fire celebrated our heroes at both hospitals.
  • Irving Mayor, City Council and community members provided remarks and holding signs of support for our healthcare workers.
  • Residents helped celebrate by joining us during the events, making signs and posted messages of thanks on social media using #IrvingHealthcareHeroes.
