Irving likes to call itself the “headquarters of headquarters” and thanks to Las Colinas, the city draws more corporate headquarters per capita than any other U.S. city.

Eight Fortune 500 companies have global headquarters in Irving. A total of 53 Fortune 500 companies have offices in the city.

What makes Irving popular among corporations?

Corporations are drawn to Irving’s central location in Dallas/Fort Worth, lifestyle amenities like Lake Carolyn and Toyota Music Factory, business friendly policies, widespread 5G technology and quality health care, said Beth Bowman, President and CEO of the Irving Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce and Irving Economic Development Partnership.

“We’re also proud of our city’s diverse population,” Bowman said, “which employers tell us is an important workforce advantage and critical to recruiting corporate headquarters home to Irving-Las Colinas.”

The Dallas Morning News provided a look at the Fortune 500 companies with headquarters in Irving along with their ranking.
