The Dallas County health department on Saturday opened a new registration site for medical workers and certain other at-risk people to take part in early rounds of the COVID-19 vaccine distribution.
People in phases 1A and 1B, as defined by Texas Department of State Health Services, can go online to be pre-screened to receive a vaccination from DCHHS as it becomes available. Other providers in the county may determine vaccination eligibility through other means.
Phase 1A includes health-care workers and residents of long-term care facilities. Phase 1B includes people over 65 years old and those with underlying health conditions. The county’s registration process is only open to people in those categories.
To register, residents can go to dallascounty.org/covid-19/covid-19-vaccination.php. Registrants will be notified of next steps as the vaccine becomes available.
