Irving-based apartment builder JPI is starting the new year with a groundbreaking.
Already the largest apartment builder in North Texas, JPI has started construction on a 325-unit, 11-acre rental community at Loop 12 and Texas Plaza Drive.
JPI is partnering with Kentucky-based NTS Development Co. on the project.
Construction on the Jefferson Texas Plaza II project is scheduled for a fall 2022 finish.
NTS recently purchased the adjoining 282-unit Jefferson Texas Plaza I apartments built by JPI.
“We are excited about our entry into the D-FW market through the acquisition of Texas Plaza phases one and two, phase one of which is being rebranded as Westloop Apartments at the Diamond Interchange,” Neil Mitchell, senior vice president at NTS, said in a statement. “We have enjoyed working with the JPI team and look forward to partnering with them through the construction phase of each asset. We hope to do more with JPI in the years to come.”
