A major redevelopment of an industrial park is planned at Irving’s front door.
The project will repurpose a handful of office and industrial buildings along State Highway 114 near the old Texas Stadium site.
Owner Hickory Pointe LLC, an Iowa-based investor, plans to revamp the almost 120,000-square-foot business park into new commercial space.
The owner already had one industrial building along the highway when it started working with Timothy Veler, vice president with commercial property firm Transwestern, to acquire additional properties.
“We ended up buying almost every building on the street,” Veler said. “The buildings were constructed in the late 1960s or early 1970s.”
The renovations will reorient the buildings from Royalty Row to face the freeway. “That’s now the back of the buildings,” Veler said. “There will be parking out front.”
