Another big industrial development is on the way near DFW International Airport.
Last summer, Dallas-based Gruene Real Estate Partners and Weber & Co. leased more than 100 acres on the southeast side of DFW Airport on Valley View Lane. Development plans for the site included almost 1.6 million square feet of warehouse space.
Now the developers plan to start construction next month on an almost 340,000-square-foot industrial building in the business park, according to planning documents filed with the state.
The $14.5 million DFW Logistics Hub building was designed by RGA Architects and will open in early 2022.
The Weber-Gruene partnership also has a 50-acre industrial park north of Fort Worth in Haslet. The Intermodal Commerce Park has three industrial buildings with 1.4 million square feet of space.
Gruene Real Estate Partners execs have experience building warehouses, industrial parks and office, retail, multifamily and large mixed-use projects.
