Hudson House to Open Restaurant in Irving-Las Colinas

The Dallas-based owners of Hudson House will expand the restaurant to Las Colinas in fall 2021.

It’ll be first Hudson House without a Dallas address: There’s one on Lovers Lane in University Park; on Abrams Road in Lakewood; and on Belt Line Road in Addison. The Las Colinas restaurant will be near John W. Carpenter Freeway and N. MacArthur Boulevard, replacing a Taco Diner.

Hudson House is an American restaurant that serves East Coast oysters, Nantucket chowder, steak frites and fish tacos. The cheeseburger is popular, especially during happy hour, when it’s $10. Happy hour runs 3 to 6 p.m. daily and includes half-price martinis and oysters.

The company that operates Hudson House, Vandelay Hospitality Group, has continued growing during the coronavirus pandemic. They’re opening a new restaurant named Brentwood in Addison in fall 2021. They also operate Dallas steakhouse Drake’s Hollywood; East Hampton Sandwich Company; and Nashville hot chicken joint Lucky’s Hot Chicken. A new Lucky’s opened in Hillcrest Road, across the street from Southern Methodist University, in April 2021.

Las Colinas’ new Hudson House will have a patio, a private dining room a wraparound bar.
