Each year on June 23, Olympic Day is commemorated all over the globe, and this year Irving is inviting North Texas to join in the festivities that will mark Irving’s first Olympic Day celebration. The myriad of local Olympic Day activities begin on June 25 and conclude on June 26 and have been designed to promote fitness, well-being, culture and educational opportunities, while also observing the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect.
Overview
The celebration will begin and end with capstone programs combining art and musical performances. In recognition of Japan, a significant contributor to both the business and social fabric of Irving-Las Colinas and North Texas, there will be a series of presentations, seminars and art exhibits highlighting Japanese art and culture as part of the celebration.
