Irving Ranks Among Best Cities Have the Best Amenities for Renters, New Study Says

Irving-Las Colinas ranks 29th nationwide for the green space and amenities renters enjoy in the city according to a study by STORAGECafé, a nationwide self-storage search website.

The study rated the nation’s 100 largest cities from worst to best and examined more than 82,000 large-scale apartment buildings across the country using the Yardi Matrix real estate database. Specifically, Santa Barbara, Calif.-based STORAGECafé looked at complexes with at least 50 units that have features such as courtyard and rooftop decks, swimming pools and spas, fitness centers, business lounges and sports courts for tennis and basketball.

STORAGECafé also rated Plano No. 1 for having the best amenities for renters in Texas. The city has also seen a 20-percent increase in rental units built over the past decade, according to the study. Five other North Texas cities made the top 100 community amenities list:
