A new dog park has opened in Irving near the Campion Trail and the Elm Fork Trinity River, which inspired the design.
The 7-acre Paws Colinas Dog Park at 1300 California Crossing Road was formed through a partnership between the city and the Las Colinas Association.
There are separate areas for small and large dogs with pet-waste stations, water fountains, shade structures and benches. It’s open from sunrise to sunset, weather permitting, for dogs 6 months and older wearing collars with current tags.
Pets must be licensed and vaccinated, the city said in a news release, as well as leashed when entering and leaving the park. For more information, visit lascolinas.org/paws.
