A couple of local Dallas-area firms are joining an international technology company out of Europe.
Paris-based Atos landed a deal to acquire Plano’s Visual BI, which focuses on data analytics and provides partner services for companies such as Microsoft. Also, the French company said it has an agreement for Irving’s Nimbix, a high-performance computing cloud platform provider.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed in the announcements on Tuesday.
Atos, which has been acquisitive in the past, assists companies with digital efforts. It has more than 105,000 employees.
Visual BI has at least 180 employees worldwide, including the U.S., Canada and India. It was founded in 2010.
The deal strengthens Atos’ offerings for BI and analytics in cloud environments.
“With the acquisition of Visual BI, we gain access to a broader set of analytics capabilities and tools, greatly enhancing our customers’ ability to tackle their most complex business challenges using data,” said Wim Los, SVP Cloud Enterprise Solutions at Atos.
With Nimbix, Atos gets a company that’s giving engineers and scientists access to infrastructure and software to build, compute, analyze, scale and deploy simulations, AI and other applications. It’s executed thousands of cloud HPC projects in nearly 70 countries.
