Museum Exploring One of Dallas County’ Oldest Black Communities Temporarily Closing for Repairs

An Irving museum that explores the history of the African-American experience, from emancipation to the Civil Rights movement, is temporarily closing for extensive repairs.

The center is scheduled to reopen in late 2022, according to a city news release.
