Salad Station, a New Build-Your-Own Salad Restaurant, to Open In Irving

A new build-your-own salad spot is opening early next year in Irving.

Salad Station, which bills itself as a gourmet pay-by-the-pound salad franchise, will open in February at 7979 N. MacArthur Blvd.

The Hammond, Louisiana-based restaurant offers various greens, proteins, legumes, veggies, fruits and nuts.

Customers can choose from several salad bases, such as romaine, spring mix, spinach, kale and noodles.

Proteins include chicken, buffalo chicken, shrimp, ham, turkey, bacon, pepperoni, imitation crab and hard-boiled eggs. Legumes are edamame, garbanzo and black beans, and nuts include sliced almonds, pecans, sunflower seeds and peanuts.

Vegetables include marinated artichokes, hearts of palm, cut corn, roasted garlic, beets and mushrooms. Various cheeses, such as feta, blue, cheddar and parmesan, are available, and dressings include lemon vinaigrette, jalapeño ranch, sesame ginger and caesar.
