The final grant of the season was given to Canine Companions in Irving during Park Place Dealership’s $100,000 Season of Giving.
Canine Companions for Independence is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs at no charge to the recipient.
Christmas arrived early for 24 local non-profits that received one of the grants over three days. Park Place selected the organizations because of their commitment to serving the Dallas/Fort Worth community. This is the first time the 24 non-profits have received a donation from Park Place. (See full list below). Winning organizations receive between $5,000 – $10,000, with a total give of $100,000.
A committee comprised of Park Place members from eight dealerships across North Texas selected the non-profits out of more than 350 applications. Under Park Place Cares, the company’s philanthropic arm, the company has donated $100,000 to 24 charities that met the dealership’s criteria and supports one of Park Place Cares’ Pillars of Giving, which include: Education; Medical; Advocacy; or the Arts.
