CenterPoint Properties has acquired its first industrial facility in the DFW area.
The property is about 330,000-square-feet and is located at 2201 Chemsearch Blvd. in Irving. The facility is on more than 18-acres of land and has a 36-foot clear height. In addition to being near the Loop 12 interchange, the facility is only 10 minutes from DFW and eight minutes away from the Dallas business district.
“This trophy acquisition is perfectly aligned with CenterPoint’s strategic goals in Texas,” CenterPoint senior vice president of investments Rives Nolen said in a news release. “We seek rare Class A infill investments like this that position our portfolio for accretive long-term gains. Class A assets are extremely rare in this part of Dallas, and the location fronting Highway 183 provides excellent visibility and highway access just minutes from the CBD and DFW Airport.”
The site also has an ESFR sprinkler system, 47 dock doors and parking for 59 trailers and 356 cars. The Chemsearch facility has been leased to a Dallas-based company that uses it for fulfillment, distribution, storage and a headquarters location. Eastdil Secured’s Josh McArtor and Caitlin Clinton brokered the deal.
