Irving Mobile App Platform Raises $8.5 Million to Make Online Shopping Even Easier

Vajro Inc., an Irving-based technology firm that boasts its mobile app platform can help e-commerce store owners create Android and iOS apps in 60 minutes or less, will use an $8.5 million investment to enhance features and tap into new e-commerce platforms.

Vajro, which launched in 2018 and now has 150 employees, said the funding comes from Five Elms Capital, a Kansas City-based private equity firm that invests in business-to-business software companies.

According to Vajro, more than 2,000 brands have chosen its mobile app builder to accelerate sales growth on e-commerce sites like Shopify. It cited SimplyMe Boutique, which grew its mobile app revenue tenfold in 12 months, and Beautique, which made $86 for every $1 spent with Vajro, as examples.
