Bulgarian Energy Delegation Visits Dallas-Fort Worth Area And Build Partnerships To Fulfill Climate Ambitions

The U.S. Commercial Service, the export promotion arm of the International Trade Administration, in collaboration with the Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce and Enel Green Power hosted an energy delegation from Bulgaria on February 17 at the Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce. Led by the Minister of Energy, Alexander Nikolov, the Bulgarian delegation participated in a roundtable event with several Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area clean energy companies, engineers and consultants to discuss various clean energy solutions.

Minister Nikolov was accompanied by the heads of the state-owned gas supply, gas transmission, and nuclear power companies. This visit offers a valuable opportunity to drive collaboration with the new government on Bulgaria’s energy diversification and green transition goals, accelerated by the availability of over EUR 6 billion under the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).

“We are honored to welcome the Bulgarian Government Energy Reverse Trade Mission delegation to the Dallas-Fort Worth region for an energy roundtable and Renewable Energy Plant site visit to learn about the diverse energy sector portfolio and the cutting-edge technology and renewable energy solutions offered by U.S. companies in Texas,” said Jessica Gordon, U.S. Commercial Service Dallas-Fort Worth Director. “We hope that the roundtable and business meetings will provide an opportunity for the delegation to solidify U.S. commercial partnerships in support of advancing Bulgaria’s energy diversification and green transition goals.”
