Partnering with CDFIs and Financial Institutions to Meet the Capital and Credit Needs of BIPOC Small Businesses in Texas

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will host a webinar highlighting capital and credit resources, programs, and products from CDFIs and banks that serve Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) small businesses. The event will promote access to capital and credit for BIPOC small businesses through community development lending, investments and services. The event will explore community development opportunities and discuss structures that could support increasing the flow of capital to this market segment. Examiners will discuss how banks can obtain favorable CRA consideration while engaging in these activities.


Attendees will hear about CDFIs and banks that work to support capital and credit needs for small businesses in BIPOC communities and how financial institutions can gain potential CRA credit through CDFI partnerships and opportunities. Attendees will also hear about programs, resources and best practices in the acquisition of capital and credit.
