Kimberly-Clark Appoints Former Toyota Exec Into Newly Created Executive Role

Irving-based Kimberly-Clark Corporation (NYSE: KMB) has announced the appointment of Zack Hicks in the newly created role of Chief Digital and Technology Officer, according to a news release.

The announcement comes after the recent news of Hicks’ retirement from Plano-based Toyota North America after 26 years of leadership and was the company’s first Chief Digital Officer. Hicks also served as CEO and president of Toyota Connected North America.

“Zack brings to Kimberly-Clark significant experience in technology innovation, operations and team leadership,” Mike Hsu, chairman and CEO of Kimberly-Clark, said in the release. “He’s the right leader to help us leverage the full potential of technology to accelerate the next phase of our growth strategy for long-term value creation.”

The company said Hicks’ new role will reflect the company’s increasing focus on digital technology in building brands and creating differentiated capability for the company.
