The Irving Schools Foundation is asking the community for help after its Food for Thought warehouse was heavily damaged by the more than 9 inches of rain that hit the area last month.
Ceilings, floors, equipment and food supplies were affected or made unusable. The food program distributes meals to disadvantaged Irving students, which is most of the district’s population, during hours when school isn’t in session.
