Irving-based B.I.G. Logistics has acquired Mexico-based companies Xcell Logistic Services, Inc. and Xcell Logistics Corporation to further its growth along the Southern border, according to a news release.
Through the acquisition, the newly combined companies will manage international and domestic air, ground transport, ocean, custom brokerage and project cargo.
“The acquisition of Xcell by B.I.G. Logistics signifies the importance of Xcell’s presence in cross border market and will only catapult the company to higher success,” Roberto Sosa, founder and chairman of Xcell Logistics Companies, said in the release. “This is proof of the dedication over the last 25 years and will help with the footprint B.I.G. and the group is looking to achieve globally.”
