Investor Buys Former Sears Store at Irving Mall

A California investor has acquired a vacant department store in Irving.

The almost 15-acre property is located on the north side of Irving Mall. The 96,000-square-foot retail building with surrounding parking lots was once occupied by a Sears department store.

The site was sold to MKAC Investments of Elk Grove, Calif, according to county records. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Commercial property firm CBRE Group’s Rich Flaten and Lauren Aitken marketed the site on Belt Line Road.
