Irving-based health care system Christus Health has purchased Tyler-based CardiaStream to form the largest cardiology group in East Texas, the company announced on Monday.
Through the transaction, CardiaStream also known as Cardiovascular Associates of East Texas, will combine Christus Health’s Trinity Clinic Cardiology location in Tyler to form the Christus Heart and Vascular Institute. The two entities have been in talks to combine for two years.
Christus Health will also add 12 CardiaStream locations across East Texas to its portfolio, including in Athens, Canton, Crockett, Henderson and Jacksonville.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
