A City on the Move

In Irving, accessibility is what sets us apart. Whether that means access to a diverse, educated workforce of 3.3 million people all within a 30-minute commute or access to all points in the region, the country and the globe beyond, Irving’s central location in the heart of the Metroplex and North Texas is unmatched.

The close proximity to our region’s two major airports – both about 10 minutes away – provides Irving residents and corporations with easy reach to a wealth of leading business markets and prime leisure destinations. Both Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field offer more than 200 direct flights per day to points throughout the United States and beyond. Major cities within the region, including Houston, Austin and Oklahoma City are all accessible in four hours via our city’s network of highways.

Irving’ leaders also purposefully developed the city’s jobs, housing and amenities around major transportation centers that offer accessibility to all of Dallas-Fort Worth and beyond. The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) light rail system Orange Line includes six stations located throughout the city, offering commuters an easy ride to and from work and residents access to our region’s many amenities.
